Carol Euyang Yu was born in New York but spent nearly her entire childhood in Manila, Philippines. She’s a member of Wellesley Class of 1976 and had the privilege of learning Mandarin with the legend Lin Tai Tai, who made waking up for those early classes so worth the effort. Carol has lived in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia since 1979. Her ties with the Wellesley/Boston area continued when her husband acquired the first and only country-wide Dunkin’ Donuts franchise in Malaysia in 1987 and, together, they built the business. Over the years, she raised 4 children, looked after her grandma, parents in law, parents and an endless number of dogs adopted from local kennels, where she is a longtime volunteer and fund raiser.
